Clara Barton and Her Struggles as a Women.

The motto of the Red Cross is, “With Humanity, Towards Peace”. It means that as a whole nation we will come together and fight through hard times. Clara Barton was born on December 25th, 1821 in North Oxford Massachusetts, and died April 12th, 1912. She was a teacher, nurse, and an activist for women’s rights. Having the will to help others and sticking up for what she believed in were two things that inspired her and led to her success (Nelson). Clara grew up the youngest of five children.
